The  Sympathetic  Trilogy

Could It Be Clara?

Picture
Clara IS from another kingdom---The United Kingdom--- but does that mean that she is also a subject of The Kingdom of Absence?  Clara can be mysterious at times, and people have noticed themselves saying things they might not normally say when they are around her.  But Clara has Jesus as her savior, surely she couldn't be the muse, right?  Timothy already accused her of being a succubus, and that turned out to be wrong and hurtful.   So I would be careful making wild accusations with nothing to back it up.

Could It Be Ava?

Picture
Ava IS pretty sneaky and manipulative---but does that mean that she is also the muse?  She DID have a dream about a muse and painted the painting, "The Mournful Muse"---but is that enough evidence?  Why did the painting resemble Amber Locke so much when Ava hadn't even met Amber before?  And why would Ava go to so much trouble to pretend to be sick?---to throw people off the trail?  Maybe...but then why was she so head-over-heels for one Silas Locke?  Maybe Ava is the succubus Timothy was so convinced he had detected.  Or maybe Ava is just a typical 20 year old human wanting to be loved.

Could It Be Amber?

Picture
Amber IS a rare woman---with an even RARER sympathetic nervous system condition, but does that mean she's the muse?  Aggie Sussex thinks so...so much that she's willing to put her money where her mouth is and pay for Amber's hospital bills.  Aggie believes in The Fiery Sword Prophecy so much that she will do just about anything in her power to make it a reality.  But does Aggie's belief mean Amber is the muse?  Aggie's belief could be sincere...but sincerely wrong.

Could It Be Andrea?

Picture
Andrea DOES like to gossip, but does that mean she's the muse?  You could do a lot of gossiping if you had the ability to enter people's dreams and take their free will away.  But is she just playing dumb, or did she hit her head during "the fall" on the way down.

Could It Be Mindy?

Picture
Mindy IS a very emotional woman.  Could she secretly be wrestling with Queen Nihilori's twisted dedication to beauty and absence?  That COULD cause someone a lot of stress and lead to fits of crying....BUT...I suspect that her husband's health issues may be a more likely reason she sheds her tears.

Could It Be Taylor?

Picture
Taylor IS by far the most mysterious character in the trilogy.  No one knows Taylor's origins, Taylor only has a name because Silas bestowed one, and Taylor's manner of speech is so esoteric and convoluted that no one would blame you if you thought Taylor was the muse...but is Taylor?  Not if muses are "the fortunate ones."

Could It Be Cassie?

Picture
Cassie IS very funny---inspiring a lot of people to laugh.  Her wit and wisdom are well beyond her years.  But does that mean she is the muse?  If she is, she's not being a very loyal subject.

Could It Be Aggie?

Picture
Aggie IS very dedicated to the idea of The Fiery Sword Prophecy.  But she is convinced Amber is the muse.  It's pretty unlikely that she is secretly the muse herself.

Could It Be Silas' Aunt?

Picture
Silas' Aunt IS someone who would be sympathetic to Silas' plight, but that doesn't mean she is the muse.  She hasn't really inspired anyone---unless you count how she inspired Silas to carry on after his parents died.  It's highly doubtful that someone related to Silas would also be the muse...don't you think?

Could It Be Alice?

Picture
Alice DID defend Clara and Silas' relationship from a suspicious Andrea---but does that mean she's also the muse?  She is the supervisor over an art MUSEum, true, but isn't that just a funny coincidence and nothing more?  Besides, Clara and Andrea also work in the MUSEum.
